One of Oahu’s expert board-certified gastroenterologists, Aaron Small, MD can diagnose and treat chronic and complex conditions. He sees patients at Hawaii Gastroenterology Specialists in Honolulu and Aiea, Hawaii.
Dr. Small earned his medical degree from Mayo Medical School. He went on to complete his residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. To further his expertise and training, Dr. Small went through a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an additional fellowship in advanced endoscopy through Virginia Mason Medical Center.
He maintains his board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialties in gastroenterology and internal medicine. Dr. Small has extensive training in a multitude of gastroenterology procedures, including biliary drainage, colonoscopy, and bile duct procedures, to name a few.
Because of Dr. Small’s advanced experience in endoscopy, he’s an expert in using minimally invasive methods to both diagnose and treat patients. He can help those who struggle with chronic ailments such as cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), dysphagia, gastric ulcers, and more. Dr. Small is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to the practice.
